Looking up Mathematics

So, if there’s a word that you don’t understand, what do you do?

Look it up in a dictionary, of course.  There, you’ll find the definition of the word and typically some idea of what you can do with that word.

What do you do for a mathematics term?

Consider using “A Maths Dictionary for Kids“.

This is very cool and will definitely engage you.  Oh, and your students too.  Updated for 2017, you can work right from the web or download the app.  iOS only.

Check things out on the web and you’ll find yourself poking around for a while.

Like any good dictionary, you’ll definitely find a definition.  But, how do you use it?

Each of the terms features a section where you can put your new found definition into action.

It’s a great deal of fun to just poke around with and check out terms that you might use today or you may have never used in years.  Parts of the website (the originals) require Flash but the newer should work on any computer, tablet, or phone.
