doug — off the record

just a place to share some thoughts

A circle of friends

I found this kind of cool. It’s called Twitter Circle.

The first thing I did was make sure that I didn’t have to log into Twitter to make it work – just being careful about privacy before I post publically on this blog! <grin>

Here’s how it works.

Twitter Circle works by grabbing your likes, retweets, and tweet mentions of other users and using an algorithm it detects who you mostly engage with. It then generates a circle image out of it which represents your Twitter interaction circle also known as Twitter circle of friends.

So, of course I had to give it a try.

Here’s my circle as of Monday morning according to its algorithm.

Do you see yourself in there? How many user icons do you recognize.

Am I in your circle?

  1. Doug, I’m realizing that we interact with a lot of the same people. I can recognize almost everyone’s icon. Now I want to try this for myself. 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

  2. I don’t think there is any overlap between your circle and mine. That surprises me a little. Somehow you and I interact more on the blog and Facebook than on Twitter.
