My Week Ending 2022-05-08

Here’s a summary of some of the things I learned and published this week.

You can follow my daily readings as they happen here.  Below are a selected few, with commentary, from the past week. They’re posted to the blog daily under the title OTR Links.

  • The cold and COVID in the same depressing article about the future of health
  • If you think that wireless charging just has to be more than magic, you need to read this article

  • Look at your keyboard – can you tell which of the keys will wear out the fastest?
  • Stellantis invests big time in Windsor and Bramption

  • How much would you pay for “Bliss” – the background image that was made famous by Microsoft
  • Interesting new features added to Windows 11 – check them out

  • Interesting editorial piece from the Washington Post about why Doug Ford shouldn’t get a second term

Technology Troubleshooting

This problem is a really big one for me.

If you follow me in the mornings, I do a lot of reading and share the results to my Twitter timeline. For years, I’ve been using Shareaholic.

Recently, it’s stopped working. I select the share to Twitter option and nothing happens. If I try again, it does create a share but with the wrong link.

It’s the worst of all possible errors – sometimes it actually works. At this point, it’s a noodle scratcher for me

Look what I made

With all the Wordle craze, I of course blogged about it earlier but also created a Wakelet of all the Wordle clones I could find. Once created, I’ve been adding to it daily, it seems. I guess it’s presumptuous to think I could do it all in one session. It certainly has taken the online world by storm

My collection is available here:

Update – May 8: Up to 54 entries.

My mom!

Thanks for reading.

Please join me daily for something new and, hopefully, interesting for you. I honestly and truthfully appreciate your few moments reading my thoughts. Time willing, this summary appears every Sunday afternoon.

Be safe.
