doug — off the record

just a place to share some thoughts

Vivaldia

Yesterday, I shared one of the exciting new features in the latest update to the Vivaldi web browser – the ability to periodically refresh tabs in the background. I think that’s an exciting feature.

But, there’s another new feature that people are all gushing over. It’s the inclusion of the offline / online game of Vivaldia. The concept isn’t new to web browsers; Google Chrome has had an online game built in for a while.

This new game comes with a story.

and some pretty interesting backgrounds instead of just plain white. I don’t know if you’re old enough to remember classic games but I do. It was engaging for a while and I played it both on the computer and my phone. I’m much better, although I’m not all that good, using the computer version.

It’s just a matter of opening a new browser tab and entering vivaldi://game/ in the tab.
