Happy Canada Day!

Oh look, I get to reuse my picture of the Great Canadian Flag that flies at the foot of Ouellette Avenue in Windsor.

I pulled it from the post that I made last year at this time about Canada Day. As I reread the post, I realized that I had made excuses for the lack of fireworks in Amherstburg then. You see, Amherstburg loves a good festival and fireworks on Canada Day is kind of a big deal around here.

It’s not just that; we have the Canada D’Eh Run as well as all kinds of bouncy activities for kids in Toddy Jones Park. This screen capture from the town of Amherstburg’s website tells it all for this year.

It’s definitely going to be different with things going virtual.

But, above and beyond all, hopefully it keeps people safe.

So, from doug–off the record, Happy Canada Day, however non-traditionally you’re celebrating it.
