First day

The 2019-2020 school year has ended. Mercifully.

How about a little music to celebrate? In particular for those who are calling it a career.

School’s Out

This is the recognized anthem for the end of the year. Alice Cooper

Shake it off

Definitely not the highlight of a career year so join Taylor and shake it off.

Straight A’s

Who gave in and just gave everyone an A. As sung by the Dead Kennedys.

You’re gonna miss this

Probably Trace Adkins, possibly, but now right now.

I hope you dance

I wish you all the best. All the best from Lee Ann Womack

Be true to your school

Classic Beach Boys! How many times do you come to the defence of your school?

Smokin’ in the boy’s room

A job that everyone hates was made popular by Brownsville Station. No supervisions for a while!

Don’t blink

Wise advice from Kenny Chesney. 30 or more years of teaching just fly by.

A tribute from Jethro Tull

Take this job and shove it

Especially for those that aren’t coming back in September, an earworm by Johnny Paycheck.

What songs did I miss? Add suggestions in the comments.

  1. Excellent choices. How about Teacher, Teacher by 38 Special? Or Summertime by DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince….?

  2. I used to play “Schools out” on my phone when I left school at the end of the year. That didn’t happen this year. Heavy sigh
