Here’s a summary of some of the things I learned and published this week.

- I will admit that I enjoyed looking at these modified book covers just a little too much.
- This ban of assault style weapons will last until we decide to elect a Conservative government again and it’s overturned. It should be safer for a while, I hope.
- Even these days where there are the pundits who have never been in a classroom or were and somehow weaseled themselves out are becoming experts in teaching and putting others down by their words and actions. Where are the teachers indeed.
- It’s another case of Microsoft adding features to its browser than Chrome doesn’t have. Who wins? Ultimately us who will get a better browser in the end.
- Why wouldn’t you trust Canadians. After all, we’re just “nice”. The results from this poll could certainly have been predicted not on Canadians and Americans but by the current leadership of both countries.
- This is a terrific new feature from Mozilla. Great a burner email address on demand. How many times do you want to try something but are required to give an email address and then you on a never-ending email list.
- This is just sad and an indication of how society isn’t equitable. When people have to go to a parking lot and glum free wifi. Even some teachers have to do that.
- It might be time for a shave if your beard doesn’t pass the test for a safe breathing connection with a face mask.
- The net result will be very positive but I agree with the title that it’s sad than a pandemic had to happen in order to kick things into gear.
- It’s a sign of the times for educational decision making made by the last person to visit the director or superintendent office. Imagine if all the efforts of all of these LMS systems went into creating one super system.
- This is definitely the time to be a vendor of computers. Record sales have been recorded and finding a new device is becoming a challenge.
- Such a sad story is presented here about a principal who obviously was loved and respected by many.
- I’m sure that many parents are getting far too much taste for the job of teacher but there are things that they need to know about the job.
- There could be a real danger or real value to letting the Gates Foundation imagine what schools could be. Please, please, please, Mr. Gates hire teachers to help.
- This is a perfect example of “do what I say” and not “do what I do”.
- I’m going to kick the tires on this Infection Risk Estimator and blog about it in the future. It’s an interesting concept.
- Since Google is all about communications, it comes as no surprise that they have more than one person to person communication app. Which one is best?
- Oh Canada! Great news that a treatment for Coronavirus has been developed and is in testing in London.

Technology Troubleshooting
After a few weeks of my Chromebook working well, it’s back to its old tricks of waking into tablet mode. So, I flip on the wireless mouse and the problem goes away.
I reported the problem again and when to the Chromium OS discussion area and somehow it’s comforting that I’m not the only one with the issue.
Interestingly, there are people reporting a similar situation with a particular Lenovo model. The more the merrier, I guess.
Hopefully, it reaches a critical mass so that the issue gets resolved again.
