Make a GIF

One of the powerful things about conferences are connecting and learning from people smarter than you. I had a bit of a learning experience yesterday. It does something that I’ve wanted to do for a while. I always thought that it would be a neat feature to use in a presentation – converting a part of a YouTube video to GIF!

One of my favourite videos is this from the Buggles.

In particular, I’m blown away by the piano duet at the end. 1 person, 2 pianos!

Like anything, it has a URL to it pulling content from youtube.com. In the address, add GIF before youtube

https://www.GIFyoutube.com/watch?v=Iwuy4hHO3YQ

From the next screen (you’re sent to GIFs.com), set a starting and ending point for your GIF.

There are all kinds of features so go ahead and tweak.

Then, download and go.

Could you use a feature like this?

I experiment and comment a lot on things so don't take anything here too seriously; I might change my mind a day later but what you read is my thought and opinion at the time I wrote it!
