Answering the AI challenge

I’ve always liked a good challenge.  The most recent came from my friend Alfred Thompson who apparently was too busy to try it himself so sluffed it off to me.

Challenge

Two truths and a lie, eh?  I can do the truth part but I never lie.  <nudge, nudge, wink, wink>

I was off to give it a shot.  https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/rewards/meet-zo.

It seems simple enough; I chose to use Twitter for my game but there were a number of alternatives to choose from.

I didn’t have a choice – Zo wanted to go first.  Actually, that’s not a problem, I’ll get a feel for the game.

And, guess what, I lost.

Of course, there’s no way to verify this…

Next up, it was my turn.

If you follow this blog, you should be able to spot the lie.  But, Zo couldn’t.

I think I’ll quit while I’m ahead.

Of course, the programmer in me wanted to know a bit about the algorithm so I played the same text three times.  Zo lost twice but got the right answer on the third try.

I’m guessing the AI is in the conversation and not analysing what I talk about.

Are you ready to give it a try?
