Your own posters – quickly

I was fortunate – my school had air conditioning.  On particularly hot days like we enjoyed in Essex County yesterday, my only challenge was to make a mad dash from my car to the front door of the school.  You’d think that early arrivers like myself would beat the heat but there are nights around here where it just doesn’t go away.

It was brutal yesterday and promises to be even worse today.

Of course, everyone talks about the weather but nobody does anything about it – except maybe plant trees.

Students return to sweltering classrooms on first day of school

The sun isn’t even up yet as I write this and here’s today’s word.

Of course, that will change in a couple of months and then we’ll be complaining about something else.

What’s left to do?

Why, make a poster of it.

A perfect online tool for this is Keep-calm-o-matic.  It’s quick enough to whip up a poster for any occasion.  Just fill in the blanks, adjust a few controls and you’re good to go.

And, if you don’t have time to create your own, there’s a gallery that you can peruse for inspiration.

The final product?

It’s done in a matter of seconds.

Now, in addition to the free side, the site also has a number of commercial offerings that you might want to take advantage of.

And, posters aren’t the only thing that’s generate-able here.  Check the menu across the top and make your choice from quotes, thoughts, or memes.  They’re all interestingly spun from the same concept – words over images – it’s the format that changes.

Stay cool today, wherever you are.
