Hug a farmer

Another for Thanksgiving Day.

While most of us will be enjoying a holiday meal, let’s not forget those who worked to make it happen.  On this day while we’re celebrating, they’ll continue to work – animals need to be cleaned and fed; milk needs to be drawn; eggs need to be collected; many are on the fields while the weather is good doing fall harvesting.

If you’re fortunate enough to have a class with kids from farms, give them some thanks tomorrow.

  1. you made me smile – didn’t even have to press play, to know who that was and what he’d be singing. Thanks for that. Grew up singing along with that one in the car on the way to the lake – it was one of my dad’s favourite songs.
