Summer Professional Development

The Ontario Teachers’ Federation is offering a very comprehensive slate of professional development opportunities for Ontario Educators.  The complete listing of available programs is available here.  There’s a little something for everyone.  Personally, I’m looking forward to meeting up with friends, old and new, at the Teaching and Learning in the 21st Century  and the Build Your Own Wiki and Other Web 2.0 Applications sessions.

I had a nice discussion with Siria Szkurhan, project manager, yesterday morning, and she drew my attention to two new very unique sessions that OTF is offering for Ontario Educators.  She asked if I would post it to my blog, so here goes!

A SOUND INVESTMENT FINANCIAL LITERACY – ELEMENTARY WORKSHOPS

A Sound Investment elementary workshops support junior and intermediate teachers in acquiring knowledge, skills and confidence to effectively integrate financial literacy education across all areas of the existing elementary curriculum.

  • July 26-28, Ottawa

A SOUND INVESTMENT FINANCIAL LITERACY – SECONDARY WORKSHOPS

A Sound Investment secondary workshops support the integration of knowledge and skills related to financial literacy in various curriculum areas, such as social sciences and humanities, English, mathematics, business studies, guidance and career education, and Canadian and world studies.
