This is the 2nd year of the WRDSB iPods in the Classroom Project. There are 4 schools involved this year: Ryerson Public School, William G. Davis Senior Public School, W.T.Townshend Public School and Queensmount Senior Public School. We use this wiki as a place to collaborate, share ideas and post resources. It was created last year primarily for the teachers involved in the project, however, as more teachers begin to integrate mobile devices in the classroom, we hope it will become a resource for them as well.

Yesterday the good folks at IA Ventures asked me to lead off the discussion of data visualization at their Big Data Conference. I was rather misplaced among the high-profile venture capitalists and technologist in the room, but I welcome any opportunity to wax philosophically about the power and danger of conveying information visually.
