Sad News Reading Day

Happy September.

Sadly, though, it’s life moving on without Rockmelt.  I’ve used it as a browser (in the beginning…), as a news reader, as a source of entertainment, and now it’s gone.

It was a great software product but it, and its programming team, has been reportedly acquired by Yahoo!  You can read their last message here.

I felt that the developers had a keen insight as to just how people use technology, read the web, and importantly how to discover things from places on the internet that you didn’t even know existed!

I hope that Yahoo! recognizes the genius of this team and puts it to good use there.  It would be awesome to see the browser rebranded as the Yahoo! reader to continue with the niche that they filled so well.
