I do as many activities, or “labs” outside my classroom. For my course, this works well, because we can dust for fingerprints, lift footprints, take pictures, search for evidence, but I have thought up additional scenarios and activities we can do in the quad, grassy area, around benches, even out by the track or parking lot. The fresh air wakes up our brains and the kids are always excited when we have learning to do outside.
